Information Assurance Training

NSITE’s information assurance (IA) training program provides blind and visually impaired participants with the knowledge and experience needed for A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications by the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). CompTIA certifications validate understanding of the most common hardware and software technologies in business and certifies the skills necessary to support complex IT infrastructures.

The program’s online curriculum removes geographic location as a barrier to training and allows participants to maintain current employment while preparing for a new career. Participants in NSITE’s IA program:

  • Must be legally blind
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must pass a background check
  • Have an undergraduate degree in computer science or comparable experience
  • Pass an aptitude assessment to demonstrate mastery of the assistive technologies needed to perform the work
