At NSITE, we recognize the challenges facing job seekers who are blind or visually impaired, as well as organizations looking to attract and retain a diverse workforce. Nearly 70% of working-age Americans who are blind are not employed. Meanwhile, employers across the country are seeing record-breaking turnover rates, some as high as 60%.
We are here to solve both problems. NSITE connects corporate leadership to exceptional, dedicated employees, and supports organizations across the entire continuum of corporate training, talent recruitment, talent development, onboarding, and long-term support.
NSITE works with employers to identify potential candidates who are blind, visually impaired, and/or veterans. From there, NSITE assists with accessibility needs, onboarding, and training, then prepares both parties for job placement. Our work does not end there; it continues with ongoing support to accommodate changes in accessible technology and employer requirements.
- Blindness is not a barrier to employment
- It should be easy for people who are blind or visually impaired to find employment
- Diversity is the key to organizational success
- Truly diverse hiring includes people who are blind or visually impaired
NSITE builds on decades of experience of its umbrella organization, National Industries for the Blind (NIB), the nation’s largest employment resource for people who are blind, to deliver informed, effective employment solutions.
